Lindsay & Travis
Travis and Lindsay finally had their day after having been forced to postpone things due to the pandemic. Waiting an extra year though, didn't seem to dim their joy. The wedding was planned for smack dab in the middle of dahlia season which always gets me excited. Spring may have her peonies, but autumn has her dahlias. Dahlias are bred and grown in so many different shapes, sizes, and colors. They are a wonderful cut flower that must nearly always be purchased from a local farm since they do not ship well. The amazing sister-duo, Kate and LeeAnn (at Cold Water Flowers and Cosey Town Flowers respectively) grow some of the most beautiful dahlias in the area and are where all the dahlias for this wedding were sourced from. I'm super lucky to have them a mere fifteen minutes away.
The wedding was held at the prestigious Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown. The ceremony took place on the stairs with guests fanned around it and then the celebration continued in the Grand Ballroom. Centerpieces were kept simple with fairy lights in cylinder vases, Italian ruscus and a smattering of blooms.
