Carmen & Brandon

This anniversary photo shoot with my husband is probably my favorite one we've done so far. The location, the flowers, the photographer...mmm, yes. Definitely my favorite. Some of the flowers and the location may look familiar if you've already checked out this page. Since we were already putting together a photo session for Erin and Caleb and since Charlotte was driving up from three hours away, we decided to make the most of it! The Oatlands Plantation Estate in Leesburg, Virginia has amazing gardens, and the stone walled greenhouse was one of my favorite spots.

The mid-size handtied bouquet I'm carrying is not only perfect for an engagement or anniversary photo session, but also an ideal size for bridesmaids to carry down the aisle. I like pairing this one with a larger and showier bouquet like Erin's here. It's also a good size and style for the more petite bride. For this bouquet I used all kinds of delectable spring blooms. Peonies, ranunculus, stock, snowball viburnum, tweedia, astilbe, Cappuccino and Wabara Sola roses, among others. If you keep scrolling, you'll see a sweet little posey at the end. This one is super simple, designed with just waxflower, astilbe, apple mint, and bunny tail grass. This size is good for moms who want a little something more than a corsage or for your flower girl to carry.
