Brittany & Rosendo

Now this one, was a FUN one. The colors, the textures, the flowers, oh my! I still can't help smiling when I look back over these photos. Everything about them screams, HAPPY. Brittany contacted me early in the spring and we made plans all summer long for her big day that October. Held at her family's orchard in Falling Waters, West Virginia it was a glorious autumn day.

For this orchard/farm market theme, I knew I wanted to use a ton of warm and happy colors. Autumn on the farm just bursts with abundance and I wanted to reflect that in my designs. Brittany adores sunflowers so I included three different varieties throughout...dark burgundy, burgundy tinged with cream, and shaggy-petaled yellows. Dahlias galore, solidago, celosia, astrantia, bullet allium, bracken fern, Blueberry and Cafe Latte roses (among others), sweet ammi, smokebush, mums in all colors, pepperberries, poppy pods, and scabiosa were all among the selection of blooms. The antique hoop wreaths leading to the reception were made entirely of dried foliages and tied up with velvet and silk ribbons from Honey Silks Co.
